On a hot day, few things are as pleasant and cooling as an icy ice daiquiri. Even ardent Pia Colada aficionados can’t resist the irresistible combination of juicy, red strawberries and lime for Strawberry cocktail.
We recommend using fresh and frozen strawberries for the best results. Using frozen strawberries provides the beverage body without diluting the flavor as would ice. A smooth and thick daiquiri is ensured by using a powerful mixer. Fresh strawberries give the beverage juiciness and a syrupy texture that prevents it from becoming too thick. A squeeze of lime is necessary. Strawberries’ flavor will be enhanced by the tang of fresh citrus.
You’ll probably need a spoon to devour the treat if you use only frozen strawberries, but on certain days, that’s just what you want!

- 4 oz. light rum
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, chopped, plus more for garnish
- 1 (10-oz.) bag frozen strawberries, chopped
- Juice of 1 lime
- Sliced lime for garnish
- Rum, frozen and fresh strawberries, and lime juice should all be added to a blender and blended until smooth.
- Pour into two glasses, top with lime slices and strawberries in their entirety.
